

The Museum of Kosovo

The Museum of Kosovo was founded in 1949, while the building with Austro-Hungarian architecture dates back to 1885/6. It is aimed at preserving, protecting and presenting Kosovo’s Cultural Heritage. The Museum of Kosovo includes a collection of more than 50,000 exhibits of various profiles, from the pavilion of archeology, technology, history, nature, ento-culture, folklore, heritage etc. Currently, the museum is engaging in the restoration of 1200 important objects / artifacts for Kosovo’s cultural heritage, taken from Belgrade during 1998. The Kosovo Museum is located on Nazim Gafurri Street.
