Description: Our Client, a construction company, is looking for an Estimating Manager in Nashville, TN. Full-time benefits, relocation assistance available, interview travel reimbursement available.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quantity survey of materials shown on project plans;
• Maintain an audit trail of the quantity survey from estimate to estimate;
• Support the distribution of plans and specifications to vendors / subcontractors;
• Gain field operational exposure through onsite project support, as opportunities exist;
• Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals;
• Prepare material and other costs summary for quotes from vendors;
• Track value creation items from development through inclusion and documents in project documentation;
• Utilize knowledge of the project schedule and logistics in project estimates;
• Assist with system analysis of building components and MEP systems and assists operations staff on project logistics, staging, phasing plans, and coordination;
• Coordinate bid day summaries, general requirements and participates in project procurement presentations;
• Provide professional and comprehensive deliverables at the completion of each major estimate;
• Improve project profitability opportunities by applying basic understanding of insurance structures, fees and rates.

Requirements:

• Estimating experience (3+ years);
• Experience in Commercial General Construction as an estimator (5-10 years);
• Construction experience (5+ years, preferred);
• Experience in MS Office with emphasis on strong Excel skills;
• Experience reading and understanding drawings and specifications;
• Experience in construction estimating software;
• Experience working with the means and methods of construction management;
• Experience with field operations through project support;
• Experience working with Lean process and philosophy;
• Experience developing General Requirement estimates;
• Experience developing proficiency in Lens, Revit and/or ASE software;
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (preferred).
