Description: Our Client, one of the leading international communications and information technology companies, is hiring a Senior Program Finance Specialist in Ayer, MA.
Responsibilities:
• Manage, prepare, administer, and direct the control of the budget for medium to large and/or complex programs. Work with program management and functional disciplines to manage cost and schedule;
• Perform analyze and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Provide comprehensive weekly / monthly revenue and project profitability variance analysis against monthly spends, budget and forecasts;
• Implement and maintain Order, Sales, Profit, and Investment weekly tracking to present to leadership, providing program management and program finance inputs, variance analysis against current year plans;
• Assess and quantify cost / schedule / technical status and risk, evaluate program trends, and provide project cost completion estimates;
• Solve problems and conduct investigations to identify root cause and develop improvements to practices / approaches to mitigate scheduling risks;
• Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines;
• Forecast major aspects of working capital such as cash flow, inventory, accounts receivables, unbilled and deferred revenue to monitor and analyze companies underlying operational efficiency. Establish revenue recognition methodology for programs;
• Support internal and external audits;
• Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis;
• Conduct detailed financial analysis. Interpret and implement most proposal estimating, pricing and documentation requirements. Monitor program adherence to approved budget;
• Communicate within and outside of own function or business area and communicate with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary.
Requirements:
• Experience working with DoD customers (4+ years);
• Experience in Finance;
• Program experience;
• Experience with ICE Model for government incurred cost submission;
• Experience with program management and functional disciplines to manage cost and schedule;
• Experience forecasting major aspects of working capital such as cash flow, inventory, accounts receivables, unbilled and deferred revenue;
• Experience in project management;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience;
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
