Description: Our Client, a global aerospace and defense technology company, is hiring a Lead Systems Administrator in Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all levels of local and customer network administration, maintenance and management of capacity resources for computers at the operating system and infrastructure level;
• Build, configure, troubleshoot and integrate new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades;
• Manage Active Directory accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space;
• Assist Information Assurance team with RMF (Risk Management Framework) compliance;
• Recommend software and hardware enhancements, diagnoses and corrects issues, defines and implements new services with the goal of achieving maximum server uptime and availability for the customers;
• Monitor performance, system usage; configure and troubleshoot routers and switches;
• Contribute towards the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), backup systems and disk configurations;
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
Requirements:
• Technical experience with MS Windows, or CentOS;
• Experience with constructing and configuration of data Cloud environment such as AWS or GovCloud, using Map Reduce / Hadoop and government software;
• Experience in VM life-cycle management (snapshots);
• System configuration experience with SANs (i.e. Dell Storage Solutions);
• Experience with thin client systems accessing server-based architecture;
• Experience implementing patches, scanning, remediating findings, auditing (IAVA Compliance);
• Previous experience supporting DoD / government customers;
• Hardware / software requirement verification / system validation experience;
• Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment;
• ICD 503 or DCID 6/3 experience;
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GISCP, GSEC, Security + CE, or SSCP) (required);
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 3 certification (e.g. CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH) (preferred);
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (required), active TS/SCI security clearance with a CI polygraph (preferred);
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years prior related experience or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or equivalent
