Description: Our Client, a global defense, civil, and cybersecurity technology leader, is looking to hire a Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Radar SME) in Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities:
• Work with a team of engineers and analysts on the system architecting, development, test and integration of a suite of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) sensor models (e.g. AN/TPY-2, SBX, Cobra Dane, and UEWR) used for element and system level analysis and verification and validation;
• Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements:
• Experience in system / software engineering Subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the following radar systems (AN/TPY-2, SBX, Cobra Dane, UEWR) (10+ years);
• Experience with distributed computing systems and/or real-time computing / messaging systems;
• Experience with system / software development life cycles and agile development practices;
• Experience developing System Engineering artifacts such as architectural roadmaps;
• Experience with UNIX, and/or Linux operating systems;
• Experience with high-level coding languages and scripting / interpreted languages, such as C/C++, Visual Basic, Java, JavaScript, HTML, Python, Perl, Shell Script, Bash, and AWK (preferred);
• Experience with the OSM M&S and Matlab, MySQL, and SharePoint, or related applications (preferred);
• Experience in complex system assessment / analysis; with exceptional attention to detail. Knowledge of system architectures, networks, and operations (preferred);
• Experience in engineering M&S systems using an optimistic discrete event simulation platform (preferred);
• Experience with risk management, issue resolution, problem solving and customer service (preferred);
• Experience configuring, modifying, and using plug-ins Agile Development Tools such as Jira / Gitlab (preferred);
• Experience in the missile defense domain (preferred);
• Experience with the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) and Modeling and Simulation Web Services (MWS) (preferred);
• Active Secret Clearance;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related discipline.
