Description: Our Client, a global defense, civil and cybersecurity technology leader, is looking to hire a Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Requirements) in Portsmouth, RI.
Responsibilities:
• Make key contributions in conceptualizing and capturing (bids / proposals) new product development opportunities. Specific areas of interest include Model Based Engineering (MBE, MBSE, MDA, MDD, and MDE), Systems of Systems (SoS), architecture modeling and analysis of software-intensive systems;
• Participate in the support programs of the U.S. Navy’s undersea and surface domains including mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture / integration;
• Occasional travel may be required.
Requirements:
• Experience developing and maintaining requirements in DOORS and/or DNG (10+ years);
• Experience leading requirements development (10+ years);
• Experience integrating combat systems into complex DoD Systems (10+ years);
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering defining and creating Enterprise and System level use cases;
• Technical leadership experience;
• Experience leading large DoD software development and maintenance programs;
• Experience generating and presenting technical documentation, including customer briefings and specifications;
• Experience with Navy systems and product lifecycle (preferred);
• Experience supporting US Navy and/or DoD customers (preferred);
• Experience leading technical solutions to complex user requirements (preferred);
• Experience with Java, C/C++, Python, etc. programming languages (preferred);
• Experience with Rhapsody or other MBSE tools (preferred);
• Experience with MATLAB and/or Simulink programming languages for performance predictions and data analysis (preferred);
• Active DoD SECRET Clearance, or Interim SECRET required prior to start;
• Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience, or an MS degree and 8+ years of experience, or a PhD and 6+ years of experience, in the field of engineering or a related technical discipline.
