We are all familiar with the trap of procrastination. According to researcher and speaker Piers Steel, 95% of people procrastinate to some degree.
When we procrastinate, we squander away our free time and put off important tasks we should be doing until it’s too late. And when it is indeed too late, we panic and wish we got started earlier.
Procrastination has a huge impact on our productivity.
1️⃣ First of all, it affects it when we choose to ignore an unpleasant but more important task in favor of one that is more enjoyable or easier.
2️⃣ But also, even minor episodes of procrastination can make us feel guilty or ashamed. It can lead to reduced productivity and cause us to miss out on achieving our goals.
3️⃣ If we procrastinate over a long period of time, we can become demotivated and disillusioned with our work, which can lead to depression and even job loss, in extreme cases.
