Description: Our Client, one of the leading international communications and information technology companies, is hiring an Assembly Test Technician in Mason, OH.
Responsibilities:
• Perform incoming functional test procedures;
• Troubleshoot, repair systems by replacing faulty components / assemblies;
• Install software and firmware in accordance with instructions;
• Perform post-maintenance test procedures per guidelines;
• Prepare required service documentation in a timely fashion;
• Attend off-site training courses / OJT / self-study as required to maintain competency with serviced units and to comply with company policies and procedures;
• Interface with internal and external customers;
• Perform Field Service Representative duties as assigned;
• Use of safety equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas;
• Some domestic and international travel may be required;
• Shift, weekend work, and overtime may be required;
• Established ESD, FOD and Lasers procedures must be followed;
• Use collimator lab.
Requirements:
• Electro-mechanical experience;
• Experience with troubleshooting techniques and the ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics;
• Experience with infrared / optical / laser systems;
• Experience working hands-on in the test and repair of equipment;
• Experience with using various test equipment;
• Experience in customer relations;
• Experience working in a digital work environment, accessing and entering service related data and information;
• Experience using collimator lab;
• Experience working at an adjacent industry manufacturing infrared cameras for the DoD (preferred);
• Experience with military equipment repair (preferred);
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary / Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
