Description: Our Client, a healthcare organization that provides a full range of care facilities in California, Texas, and New Mexico, is hiring a CT/X-ray Tech in Eureka, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards utilizing age-specific criteria;
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff;
• Participate in quality control and organizational improvement activities;
• Serve as a clinical and technical resource to other technologists and to the radiologists;
• Interpret a variety of instructions presented in verbal, written, diagram, or schedule format;
• Apply basic arithmetic and algebraic concepts such as proportions, percentages and simple equations with a high degree of accuracy;
• Participate in call schedule to meet staffing needs of the department.

Requirements:

• Experience as the primary technologist in a high volume CT facility (5+ years);
• Experience reading and interpreting written materials such as prescriptions, physician’s orders, policies and procedures, safety regulations, and equipment operating instructions;
• Experience in the operation of high technology, computer-driven equipment;
• Current CPR certification (required);
• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (preferred);
• Advanced certification in computed tomography technology by the ARRT (preferred);
• Valid certificate as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology issued by the State of California (required);
• Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association (preferred).
