Description: Our Client, a provider of high-speed internet, TV entertainment, and phone services, is looking to hire Software Engineers (3 levels) in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily standup meeting to discuss progress and impediments with teammates;
• Develop new automation enabling development teams to automatically test, package, deploy, and monitor a new application;
• Lead a cross functional project team discussion to plan for the implementation of a new automation request;
• Document a new process improvement implemented to optimize and automate an administrative setup task.

Requirements:

Software Engineer I:

• Experience in Software Engineering and in scripting and automation (2+ years);
• Experience working with DevOps technologies to build robust CI/CD pipelines for modern technology stacks, strong Linux/networking skills;
• Experience with the following Software Technologies: Python, Java, React, .NET, Go, SQL, NoSQL;
• Experience with the following Platform Technologies: OpenShift, RHEL, Centos, Kafka, ELK stack, Nagios / Icinga2;
• Experience with the following Development Tools: Jira, GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube;
• Experience with the following Automation tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Bash;
• Experience with software development and project management methodologies, practices, and tools;
• Experience with software testing and problem solving practices and tools;
• Ability to travel as needed for company business and professional development;
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for system implementations and resolving system problems;
• Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years’ professional work experience.

Software Engineer II (in addition to all above):

• Experience in software development or testing (1+ year);
• Experience in business analysis practices and business process modeling.

Lead Software Engineer (in addition to all above):

• Experience in Software Engineering and in scripting and automation (4+ years);
• Experience in software development or testing (5+ years);
• Experience leading small to medium sized teams;
• Experience in quality management and quality improvement practices;
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years’ professional work experience.
