Every single dog that comes to Sniffles is unique. Some are boisterous, some calm. Some love bathing and others can’t wait to get it over with. Some have dry skin, others oily coats and others still need specialist treatments.

Even with the same breed two different owners can have two different ideas of how they want the haircut styled. That’s why the pre-groom consultation is key to our full grooming process.

When your dog needs a spruce-up but doesn’t need a full haircut. It’s the same careful process in every detail as the full groom, except that the haircut is limited to face, paws and privates.

Ideal after a muddy walk or for the specialist treatment needed to maintain the condition of long-haired breeds such as afghans and skye terriers. A soothing pampering experience for the dog adds to the enjoyment and relief they feel at having it all brushed out.

An introduction to the grooming world for new puppies. The process is shorter and easier than a full groom, allowing the puppies to get accustomed with the grooming process. This sets their habits and attitude to grooming for a lifetime, so we take extra special care that they enjoy the experience.

Available for all wire-haired or rough-coated dogs, such as border terriers. It involves removing the dead outer coat by hand, rather than using clippers, allowing a new wire coat to grow in.

It doesn’t hurt the dog as wire hair is not attached like our own hair or the coats of many other breeds. In fact, many dogs enjoy it.
